Minnesota Twins announce revised 2022 Spring Training schedule and ticket information

By Staff | Mar 11, 2022

MINNEAPOLIS-ST. PAUL, MN – The Minnesota Twins, in conjunction with Major League Baseball, today announced a revised 2022 Grapefruit League schedule, without game times, that includes a regionalized slate of 19 games in 20 days from March 17 through April 5 (including nine home contests at Hammond Stadium, three of which were on the original schedule: March 19 vs. Boston, March 22 vs. Atlanta and March 27 vs. the Red Sox). Additionally, the Twins announced that single-game tickets will go on sale to the general public beginning at 2 p.m. ET (1 p.m. CT) on Monday, March 14 via twinsbaseball.com. Game times will be announced prior to tickets going on sale.

Revised 2022 Grapefruit League Schedule

The Twins’ revised 2022 Grapefruit League schedule features 19 games against five opponents, all located on the West Coast of Florida, to mitigate travel over the 20-day period: Seven games in Fort Myers against the Boston Red Sox (3 home and 4 away), four vs. both the Atlanta Braves and Tampa Bay Rays (both 2 home and 2 away), and home-and-home sets with the Baltimore Orioles and Pittsburgh Pirates.

Minnesota opens its Grapefruit League slate on Thursday, March 17 vs. Boston at JetBlue Park. The Twins’ Hammond Stadium Home Opener is set for Saturday, March 19 against those same Red Sox – the first of three home games that remain identical on date, time and opponent from the original schedule (also Tuesday, March 22 vs. Atlanta and Sunday, March 27 vs. Boston). The annual “Minnesota Day” at Hammond Stadium is set for March 27.

The Twins conclude their 2022 Spring Training schedule with another game at JetBlue on Tuesday, April 5, before returning to Minnesota for Opening Day on Thursday, April 7 vs. the Seattle Mariners at Target Field.
