Cape Council may look to re-establish some advisory boards
Cape Coral City Council may bring back some of its advisory boards.
Two of the newly sworn-in council members received support to work with city staff on bringing certain volunteer boards back, including the charter review committee.
Councilmember Rachel Kaduk, during council reports Wednesay, asked for a second — which she received — to work with staff to produce an ordinance that would bring back certain volunteer boards, as well as creating new boards
Councilmember Joseph Kilraine also received support to stand up the existing charter review committee to look at the city’s charter and identify those measures necessary in the charter to institutionalize that the residents have the final consent on any salary change for the mayor and city council.
Kilraine also received support to revisit provisions for appointments and events that were supported at the last South Cape Community Redevelopment Agency meeting.
Cape Coral City Council also sits as the CRA’s governing board.
A CRA meeting will be held at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 4, following the Council’s workshop meeting.
