The Tire Amnesty Day scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 12, has been canceled due to Hurricane Milton.

Lee County Solid Waste and the Lee County Mosquito Control District will look for future opportunities to schedule the event, which was intended to help to rid neighborhoods of discarded tires.
