Classic Car fest returns to Museum of History
Car-lovers and those looking for the perfect gift can check two boxes this weekend in Cape Coral.
The Cape Coral Museum of History’s Classic Car Fest at Cultural Park returns Nov. 30 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., where a myriad of makes and models will be on display, as well as a plethora of vendors selling various goods.
The museum is tying this month’s event into Small Business Saturday, as more than 20 vendors will be set up to help attendees find that perfect gift for a loved one before the holidays.
“Each one of our Classic Car Fests has had at least 100 vehicles on display, ranging anywhere from early vehicles from the ‘Brass Era’ to newer world class vehicles rarely seen on local streets,” said museum Executive Director Janel Trull. “We have over 20 vendors, multiple food trucks, music, and so much more. This event is a great way to gather all generations to engage with history and share a wonderful day together.”
The event is free and open to the public, and other than the cars and vendors, feature plenty of full for all ages, such as music, games, and more.
Trull said shopping small is a way to help support your neighbors and local economy.
“Shopping locally and shopping at small independent businesses not only helps those businesses survive but helps keep our community a vibrant and thriving place,” she said. “Local businesses have a huge economic impact and put money back into the community by supporting local nonprofits, schools, and neighborhood events and programming.”
Vendors will range from local non-profits selling items to promote their cause, to craft vendors. Biz Kidz USA will have several kid entrepreneurs on site, as well as those selling handmade totes, blankets, clothes, embroidered and engraved items, and more.
All three museum buildings will be open for touring, as well as the Museum Store where guests can pick up local history books, vintage photos and maps, as well as museum branded items making great holiday gifts.
“Of course, our gardens are always available for touring,” Trull added.
Anyone interested in showcasing a vehicle can pay the $10 fee at the entry tent. Show vehicles will be parking from 8 to 10 a.m.
