Holidays come early at Cape Harbour

Santa, snow slide, live music & more at Fathoms

By CJ HADDAD - | Nov 15, 2024

Christmas will come early this weekend at Cape Harbour where the holiday will kick off with two days of free activities at Fathoms Restaurant & Bar.

Capture memories with Santa, glide down a snow slide, get creative at arts and crafts stations, and let the kids’ faces light up with festive face painting.

“We absolutely love the holiday season and are proud to be one of the first venues to kick off the festivities in the area,” said Marketing Director Valeria Zanella Voisin. “As December gets closer, the calendar fills up with events all over town, so we wanted to offer our guests an opportunity to celebrate a little earlier.”

At Fathoms this weekend, families can get their first pictures with Santa, which Zanella Voisin said is a great way to start spreading holiday cheer by mailing those photos to friends and loved ones. With professional photographer Mac McCulfor on-site Friday, families can have beautiful, high-quality photos taken, allowing them to capture those special memories ahead of the holiday rush.

“These two days are the perfect family-friendly events to kick off the holiday season because they create a festive atmosphere where families can come together and start making memories early on,” Zanella Voisin added. “Not only can you get your first special photo with Santa, but we’re also bringing some winter magic to Cape Coral with a snow slide. It’s a unique way for kids — and the young at heart — to experience a bit of winter fun in Florida. With the cheerful decorations, holiday spirit, and special activities, it’s a chance to relax and enjoy quality time together before the December rush begins.”

Fathoms will have drink and food specials all weekend long, as Zanella Voisin said it’s the perfect way to complement the holiday festivities and make the experience even more enjoyable for the whole family.

The snow slide is sure to be one of the highlights of the event.

“Bringing ‘snow’ to Southwest Florida is such a fun and unique way to kick off the holiday season–especially in our warm, sunny climate,” Zanella Voisin said. “It’s a fantastic opportunity for kids and families to experience a bit of winter magic right here in Cape Coral. We’re so excited to create that winter wonderland feeling, and we couldn’t have done it without the support of Extreme Florida for making it all possible. Thank you to them for their sponsorship.”
