The National Weather Service has issued tornado watch in effect until 9 p.m. whichincludes Lee and Charlotte counties as well as Hardee, Polk, Levy, DeSoto, Highlands, Citrus, Hernando, Manatee, Pasco, Sarasota, Sumter, Hillsborough and Pinellas.

The warning includes Cape Coral, Fort Myers, Lehigh ACces and North Fort Myers, as well as Arcadia, Avon Park, Bayshore Gardens, Beverly Hills, Bonita Springs, Bowling Green, Bradenton, Brandon, Bronson, Brooksville, Bushnell, Cedar Key, Chiefland, Citrus Springs, Clearwater, Dade City, Englewood, Fanning Springs, Floral City, Hernando, Holiday, Homosassa Springs, Hudson, Inverness, Jasmine Estates, Lake Panasoffkee, Lakeland, Land O Lakes, Largo, Lecanto, New Port Richey, North Port, Palmetto, Placid Lakes, Port Charlotte, Punta Gorda, Sarasota, Sebring, South Venice, Spring Hill, St. Petersburg, Tampa, The Villages, Venice, Wauchula, Wildwood, Williston, Winter Haven, Zephyrhills, and Zolfo Springs.
